George takes matters into his own hands, hopping to smooth out his relationship with both David and Anne. Elsewhere, Grace and Adrian pay a visit to Ashley and George's house while Ricky learns about Adrian's plans and refuses to let Adrian live next door to Amy. Anne tells David that she won't move into his house, while David urges Anne to think through her and George's relationship, giving the car to Anne instead of Amy. At the same time, George allows Adrian's mother and father to see the house and Ben and Ashley suspect Amy and Ricky did more than watch John over the summer, but Amy tells Ben that Ricky only slept over. Elsewhere, Adrian is confused about her relationship with Ricky, Grace invites Madison over, Griffen assures George that he is watching over Ashley, and Adrian informs Amy that her father accepted George's offer on the house.

Everyone returns from their summer vacations; George makes a big revelation to Anne; Ashley begins her first day as a freshman at Grant High School.

Amy refuses to let Ben come over to say goodbye to her and John for the summer, but instead allows Ricky to take John to his new appartment. Marc Molina, the school guidance counselor, resigns at the end of the school year, while Anne starts pushing the divorce after she decides to accept Davids marriage proposal. At the same time, Ashley reaches a breaking point urging George to tell Anne that the baby is his and Grace gets accepted into a medical school for the summer. Upon packing, Ben confronts Leo about Betty, but Leo reassures Ben that he trusts her. Meanwhile, Ricky is at Amy's house picking up John for the night, and Ben comes over to say goodbye to Amy. Ricky walks in on Ben and Amy kissing, but Ben gets angry and leaves.

Amy tells her mother that she will go to Italy with Ben, while Ashley delivers the message that Anne and David are engaged. Grace tells Tom and Adrian that George told her that he lied about the vesectomy, and the secret flies around the school, only to arrive at Amy, who asks Ashley if George told the truth. Meanwhile, when Ricky asks Leo for a raise, Leo gives Ricky the apartment above the butchershop and the raise, and David asks Anne to move into their own home.

Elsewhere, Grace tells Adrian that she is going to have sex with Jack but Adrian objects because she believes Grace isn’t physically, mentally, or spiritually ready. Going against both her father's and Adrian's wishes, Grace has sex with Jack and later learns that her father died in a plane crash.

Elvis Costello is an English singer-songwriter. He came to prominence as an early participant in London’s pub rock scene in the mid-1970s, and later became associated with the punk rock and New Wave musical genres, before establishing his own unique voice in the 1980s. Steeped in wordplay, the vocabulary of Costello’s lyrics is broader than that of most popular songs. A new album from Elvis Costello produced by T Bone Burnett and recorded by Mike Piersante during a three-day session at Nashville Sound Emporium Studio. Joining Costello were Jerry Douglas (dobro), Stuart Duncan (fiddle), Mike Compton (mandolin), Jeff Taylor (accordion) and Dennis Crouch (double bass), some of the most highly regarded recording artists and musicians in traditional American country music, Bluegrass and beyond. The album includes ten previously unrecorded songs including “Sulphur to Sugarcane” and “The Crooked Line”, which were co-written with T Bone Burnett while, “I Felt The Chill” marks Costello’s second recorded songwriting collaboration with Loretta Lynn. Songs to take note of on the album are when Costello revisits two songs from his catalogue in string band style. Both songs were originally written for Johnny Cash. “Hidden Shame” was indeed included on Cash’s album, “Boom Chicka Boom”. Also, “The Crooked Line” which Emmylou Harris joins in with vocals. T Bone adds his distinctive Kay electric guitar to several numbers, the only amplified instrument on the recording.
