Close to Leo is a French movie that centres on the relationship between Leo, a youngster with HIV+ and his rural family. Yaniss Lespart and Pierre Mignard do a convincing job in portraying the brothers Marcel and Leo! You will love them both, its extremely moving, tender and wonderfully real.

When 21yo Leo tells his parents and two teenage brothers, Tristan and Pierrot that he has AIDS, the family is devastated. Out of concern for his youth, they decide to withhold the information from his youngest brother, 12yo Marcel but he overhears the conversation and begins to sulk and act erratically. When Leo goes to Paris for treatment, he takes Marcel with him but the young boy confronts Leo and demands to know the truth. Leo tells him that he is ill and Marcel is sad but accepting. When he brings Marcel along to meet some former gay friends, however, tension between them boils to the surface, setting the stage for a riveting conclusion.

Primarily the story consists of Telly (Leo Fitzpatrick) a 17 year old slacker whose mission is to de-flower as many young girls as possible, whilst unprotected. Things turn bad when an old flame finds out she has tested positive for HIV and the only person she has had sex with is Telly. She chases through New York to find him but is too late as he has already de-flowered yet another innocent pre-teen...
