Carter's unit races against the clock to save a kidnapped woman, and it's up to Ty as a gang-banger, Dean as a security guard and Jaimie as a potential victim to track down the woman's whereabouts. But the situation is not helped by the fact that the FBI are involved in the case, dredging up a deeply personal grudge Carter has against the feds.

Ty and Dean go after a major Korean gang into everything from drugs to counterfeiting. Their target is known as President Lee, an old-school mob boss who doesn’t take lip from anyone. But their biggest problem might be more internal, as Ty and Dean butt heads over every aspect of the case, with Ty being too cautious and Dean throwing caution to the wind.

A ruthless drug dealer who also has a law background makes for a particularly hard target for the team to find, especially after the deadline for the sting's operation is moved up. Quick thinking and some legally questionable moves by Jamie will be necessary to make an arrest.

Michael convinces an abusive stepfather of a young boy to leave town by telling him he is the target of an assassination plot. Elsewhere, Strickler makes a promise to Michael that he will help him get back into the intelligence community if they can work together.

Ty goes undercover to search for a gun trafficker, but nearly blows his cover by breaking a crucial rule and seeing his wife on her birthday. Carter must come up with $100,000 to keep Ty's mission protected...and to save his life.

McDermott stars as Carter Shaw, the head of a crack undercover team of police officers who are so covert, many of their own colleagues don't even know they are involved. Shaw is a deeply wounded character, having lost his wife and much of his former life as he struggles to bring down bad guys through complex undercover assignments. His team includes a recently married cop (Hardwick) who struggles with personal relationships he has developed while undercover; a shoot-from-the-hip officer (Marshall-Green) whose activities make fellow team members wonder if he has gone over to the bad side; and a green patrol cop brought in because of her excellent skill in lying and a shady past (Aycox).
Episode 1: Carter Shaw tries to find the leader of a gang who was responsible for torturing an FBI agent and leaving him to die. He also receives a new member to train, a beautiful patrol cop who happens to be an expert liar.
